Man Taken By LifeFlight in June Facing Felony Charges from Accident
May face felony charge of aggravated vehicle assault after passenger injured.
A man taken by LifeFlight June 27 after a car he was in collided with a semi-truck, has been charged with aggravated vehicle assault, a felony, in the incident. Dustin Stephens of Colorado Avenue in Avon was recently bound over to the Lorain County Court of Common Pleas to answer charges of aggravated vehicle assault, a 3rd degree felony as well as operating a vehicle while under the influence (OVI), OVI/drugs and reasonable control after Avon Police finished their investigation of the incident. Initial charges brought in the Avon Lake Municipal Court will be presented to the Lorain County Grand Jury for action.
