Sisson's Flowers is this Week's Readers' Choice Winner

Longtime Avon Lake florist earns 80 percent of votes.

It might not be much of a surprise, but longtime Avon Lake florist  Sisson's Flowers and Gifts readily earned top honors in this week’s “Readers’ Choice” awards. The flower shop earned 80 percent of the vote. Giant Eagle, which has its own floral section, too in 20 percent of the botes from Monday's posted contest.   Sisson’s also received  recommendation in our comments section as well as a “thank you” from the shop’s owner, which was taken into accout. Neither listing in our complete business directory has received any customer ratings, but there's still time to add one of your own, which will help in deciding a winner. Start thinking about Monday’s Readers’ Choice when we look for nominations for the best place in Avon for Mother’s Day …

The Hen ‘N Ivy is Avon’s Favorite Florist

Floral shop earns 60 percent of the vote.

The votes are in and with 60 percent of votes cast, The Hen 'N The Ivy  earns this week’s “Readers’ Choice” award. The Hen ‘N Ivy as well as runner up A Secret Garden Floral Design both received readers’ props before the vote. A Secret Garden earned 30 percent of the votes. Patch submission Heinen's , which has a floral section, took in 10 percent of the votes. Like the nominees? Who's the Best Florist in Avon? Time to Vote in Readers' Choice

We've had two nominations this week for the Readers' Choice Best Florist from happy customers with strong recommendations. Thank you! The nominees: A Secret Garden Floral Design and The Hen 'N The Ivy. Both business got props from our readers in Monday's post about the contest. We are adding Heinen's because the supermarket has a floral department where you can buy fresh floral bouquets.
