Lloyd F. Loux Jr. of Avon Lake: Obituary

Master bridge player

Lloyd F. Loux Jr. of Avon Lake passed away on May 16, 2013. He was born on April 4, 1929. He was a preceded in death by his wife of 40 years Patricia (nee Lawson). He is survived by son Allan (Catherine), Granddaughter Sarah and son Stephen (Deborah), grandson Barret and granddaughter Kelsey and loving partner of Marilyn Psiakis. Lloyd was a graduate of Case Western Reserve Law School and worked at National City Bank for 35 years, finishing as Senior Vice President in the legal department.He was a consultant at Baker Hostetler law firm for 10 years. Lisa M. Reitz, 48, Member of Holy Spirit Church

Wife of Joseph Reitz.

Lisa M. Reitz (nee Selmon), 48, of Avon Lake, formerly of Strongsville, passed away Friday, April 12, 2013 at The Ames Family Hospice House, Westlake, after a year and a half battle with lung cancer. Lisa was born Oct. 28, 1964 in the Bronx, NY and had lived in Avon Lake the past eight years. Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Bowling Green State University. For the past six years she was employed as a payroll clerk for Metro Health System Cleveland. She was a member of Holy Spirit Church, Avon Lake and enjoyed gardening and working in the yard. She was also an animal lover and especially loved dogs and her own dog Snicker. She also found great joy in spoiling her 13 nieces and nephews and her one great …

Herbert C. Fleming, Owned Fleming Remodeling

Herbert C. Fleming passed away peacefully at the Hospice House of the Western Reserve in the loving care of his family on April 5, 2013. Herbert, of Sheffield Lake, was a warm, wonderful, funny and deeply beloved boyfriend, father, brother and friend have left many touched lives with a great void and profound sense of loss. He will be deeply missed by many.  Herb grew up in Parma and resided in Sheffield Lake for the past 40 years. He is a Vietnam Vet in the Marines, a member of Habitat of Humanity and retired paramedic firefighter.  He was the retired owner of Fleming Remodeling and the former president of the Sheffield Lake Kiwanis Club. Bryan Kyle Wedell, 22 of Avon Lake passed away unexpectedly at his home Friday, April 5, 2013. Bryan was born June 5, 1990 in Cleveland and was a lifelong resident of Avon Lake. He was a graduate of Avon Lake High School Class of 2009 and attended Lorain County Community College. He was employed the past three years as a plumber with Avon Lake Plumbing. He was a member of Holy Spirit Church, Avon Lake. Bryan enjoyed snow-boarding, skate-boarding, fishing and boating. His family will always remember his great sense of humor, his charm and good looks. Jeanne Kerns: Obituary

Jeanne Kerns, 89, of Avon Lake, passed away on March 12. Kerns enjoyed playing bridge and loved to cook. Her specialty was beef stroganoff. She was a member of many gourmet clubs and always hosted Thanksgiving dinner for her family and friends, according to buschfuneralhome.com. Wilma J. Veiock (nee McCullough), 80 of Avon passed away on Feb. 9, 2013 at Rae Ann Suburban Nursing Home in Westlake, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 29, 1932 in Sheffield Lake. She was employed as a nurse's aid at St. Joseph Hospital, Lorain and in housekeeping at the Aqua Marine Resort in Avon Lake. Wilma enjoyed gardening and the birds and backyard wildlife at her home. Bernard Johnson of Avon, Earned WWII Victory Medal

Bernard H. Johnson Sr., age 85, of Avon, passed away suddenly on Feb. 4, 2013 at Metro Health Medical Center. He was born on Dec. 16, 1927 in Hartwell, WV and had been a resident of Avon for the past 16 years, moving from Lorain. He served in the US Army and received the WWII Victory Medal. Bernard worked as a bus driver for Greyhound for 28 years, retiring in 1985. He previously worked for B & O Railroad in West Virginia. Bernard loved the great outdoors including hunting, fishing, camping and gardening. He also enjoyed traveling and wood-working.
