Moms Talk: Making Rules for the Grandparents
What would you do if your small child was left locked in a car on a 90-degree day?
Last Thursday, a woman was discovered to have left her small grandchild locked in a car parked near Cici's Pizza on one of the hottest days of the year. An alert Cici's employee called Avon Police, who gave the grandmother a talking-to when she came out. She said she'd left the child in the car in 90-degree heat because the child didn't want to go into a store with her. While the woman was not charged, I wondered what the child's parents thought of the matter. Or if they even knew. Let's talk about parents and grandparents. Both my hubby and I have been blessed with incredible parents. They are more strict than we are in many ways. My mom had a tougher time that I did leaving my oldest home alone for the first time! I think the parents of the child left in the car should have been notified that this happened.
