Doris Mae Swanson (nee Lundberg), 91, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Avon. She was born on Feb. 11, 1921. Mrs. Swanson was born in Canton, Ohio, but spent her adult life in Avon Lake. She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening; and was a member of the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Avon Lake and the Swedish Vasa Club of Vermilion. Mrs. Swanson was a homemaker and made a cozy home for her beloved husband, the late Floyd, and their family. She is survived by her two daughters; Sandra Phillips and her husband, Darrell of Avon Lake, and Nancy A. Vaughn and her husband, Charles of Port Charlotte, FL; her beloved grandchildren, Charles R.
