Medical facility to be built on Colorado Avenue near Interstate 90
Almost a year after cutting ties with Landmark Healthcare Facilities, Mercy has signed on with Frauenshuh HealthCare Real Estate Solutions to be the developer of its planned Avon facility. When Mercy ended things with Landmark in January 2011, a statement from Mercy said it planned to have a new developer in place the following month and that the facility would complete the project in the summer of 2012. A new timeline for the project was still being worked on, a release from Mercy said Tuesday. The 33-acre site will feature an 82,000 square-foot building that will hold exam rooms, office space, an ambulatory surgery center and imaging center.

"Significant differences" cited as reason to jettison Landmark Healthcare Facilities
The developer of Mercy's planned 82,000-square-foot medical facility has been dismissed from the project. Mercy announced in a statement Monday afternoon that "significant differences" between Mercy and Landmark Healthcare Facilities, a Milwaukee-based company, had arisen. A Mercy spokesperson confirmed the statement. The nature of the differences were not cited in the statement. Mercy and Landmark Healthcare Facilities had been working together on the project since spring of 2010. According to the statement, Mercy, formerly known as Community Health Partners, intends to have a new developer in place by mid-February.
