Madeline DiFilippo Named National Merit Finalist

Avon High School senior Madeline DiFilippo has been named a National Merit finalist in the 58th Annual National Merit Program. Less than 1 percent of high school graduating seniors in the United States are named National Merit finalists. The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships. High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) – a test that serves as an initial screen of more than 1.5 million entrants each year.
