Annual performance with Avon Lake High School Chorale is open to the public.
It just wouldn’t be the holiday season without the Cleveland Pops Orchestra coming to Avon Lake. The Avon/Avon Lake Rotary Club is sponsoring “Joy to the World,” a holiday concert performance by the Pops featuring the Avon Lake High School Chorale at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Daniel B. Ross, Ph.D. Performing Arts Center at Avon Lake High School. The concert regularly draws a full house, with about 700 attending last year’s concert. Last year, Rotary Club member Tom Brock said the students really look forward to this event every year. “This is definitely a big-time platform for them,” said Brock, who is also co-chair of the event. We've got two great holiday events starting Thursday.
Looking to put a little holiday spirit into your week? We have two great performances for you to put you into the holiday mood. ALHS Holiday Concert The Avon Lake High School choirs will present a Holiday Concert on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Daniel B. Ross PhD Performing Arts Center Auditorium at Avon Lake High School. The choirs will perform a variety of seasonal favorites under the direction of William Zurkey. Performing groups include the Merples, Men’s and Women’s Chorus, Da Cantari, Barbieshop, and Chorale. The concert will close with the traditional O Holy Night. Alumni will be invited to the stage to join Chorale. Admission at the door will be $5 for adults and $1 for students and senior citizens receive complimentary …
