Spend your Mother’s Day weekend celebrating a new mom-to-be at the Holly Hill Farm, where a baby shower for 8-year-old mare, Chanel, will be chock full of fun games, good food and great prizes. Chanel is a dark bay Appendix (a mix between a thoroughbred and a quarter horse) who was purchased by Holly Hill Farm three years ago. Her handlers decided to breed her based on good bloodlines and a sweet personality. The new baby’s father is a Hanoverian breed named Federalist from California. With his good show record and her sweet disposition, this new foal should make quite an impression at the farm.
