Thank you Faith - sometimes, just sometimes, it is 15 min blocks at a time rather than one day at a time lol.

Jeri Ann - I'm so sorry to hear about your son's health issues. It blows my mind how "stuck" you can be. From a personal perspective, I have awful dental issues (genetic dental cysts and absesses) and $1500 coverage a year is NOTHING. I get the limits - and they expect it all up front. Never mind I can barely eat or function - they just want paid. While I understand they are making a living and many stiff medical financial obligations - give people a chance, work something out. I hope things work out for your son, I will pray for him and your family. I'm always here should you need a shoulder! Or a creative way around the red tape - I'm getting quite adept at that ;-)

Mom of Two - are you on Facebook? If you are, look for me. I'd love to have someone to have a glass of wine with and commisserate. My friends are great, but another special mama would be amazing. Vicki thank you so much for commenting! I contacted MLL awhile back for a gain trainer but you guys were out - I definitely kept all the paperwork for future reference and have recommended a number of families contact you. If I can help your organization out, in any way, I'd be honored to help. Thank you all for coming out and commenting - it is nice tok now i am not alone!

Mom of two I always thought the road leading to the diagnosis was hard - I had no idea what was on the other side. I swear the pace has not slowed at all. I still struggle with medical professionals, pharmacies, ER docs (who don't listen), and finding all the money for all the things I know he needs. Joe - every link to a resource helps. Somebody reading and not commenting may learn of a new avenue to help their own children. If I touch *one* other person on this journey and make their load a little lighter to carry, even for just a minute, this was not all in vain.

Oh no Joe! Technology lol. It seems the most prideful parents I know are those of children with needs - or hard headed, whatever we are calling it lol. I will definitely keep all of you in the loop about this co-op. I think it could be a really great thing and God knows I need HELP! And a new friend or two would be nice!

Thank you for commenting ladies, it is comforting to know I am not alone. Sadly Debby I am not married and I support my daughter completely by myself. Will gets assistance monetarily from his dad but it covers the basics (childcare, diapers, etc). I think the worst part of all this is if I lost my job or had another baby I'd qualify for all kinds of things. Going through this I now understand the multitude of children for those on assistance - the more you have, the more you get. The less you work, the more you get. It is a self perpetuating evil. I chose to continue to work, to reach out (and yes, MR lending library is good if you can get there before someone else and also the lending organization in Lakewood whose name is escaping me but, again, they usually didn't have what we needed in stock) for creative ways to get it done. I had a fundraiser to raise money for Will's wheelchair and AFOs. His walker we will have to do without because I feel awful fundraising and nothing will cover it and it is $600 I just don't have. So I got a loaner gait trainer from a friend and a k-walker from another friend. I have paid into this system as a working person since I was 14, just wish I could get the assistance I need for my son. And you are right Debby, not looking to be greedy, just want the best for both my kids! Thanks for reading - nice to know I'm not talking to myself ;-)
