After more than 30 years, the building that housed BiRire on State Route 611 in Avon has a new function.
It has the same owner, Jeff Vollick, and much of the same staff, but the business that once operated as a convenience store is now a party store, "Party Animalz."
Vollick said the store beganthe transition about five months ago.
The stores stocks more than 200 designs for helium balloons, two-for-one greeting cards and party supplies including plates, cups, table cloths, piñata's and streamers for special occasions including birthdays, graduations and anniversaries.
Vollick said the store is an authorized Hallmark, Disney and NFL dealer.
Party Animalz still sells beer and wine as well as snackfoods.
