Avon Lake Marching Band Preview Night

Avon Lake Marching Band Preview Night Tuesday, AUGUST 23rd 7:30 PM

The Avon Lake Marching Shoremen will perform portions of their music and routines for the 2011-2012 school year on Tuesday, August 23rd, at 7:30 PM at the Avon Lake High School Memorial Stadium. The Marching Shoremen will be performing new as well as traditional favorites. This year's Marching Shoremen are under the student direction of Field Commander Alex Riley, a junior who also plays trumpet in the Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble. The Band Director is Mr. David Eddleman and the Assistant Director is Learwood Middle School's Band Director Mr. Chris Ewald. Mr. Eddleman said "This is the biggest marching band in my seven years here at Avon Lake High School. The students are very motivated and having a lot of fun."  The Marching Shoremen will invite all of the participants from the Mini-Marchers Band Camp to wear their t-shirts and join them on the field for the Avon Lake Fight Song. Audience members will also be invited to the field to run through the "game tunnel" that the band forms for all home football games. The Band Preview is open to the public and admission is free!
