Too many times I have had similar experiences at Fairview Children's ER and our pediatrician's office. Kids with any disability do not present like typical kids. Doctors need to be better educated and trust our mother's judgement. We live with our children 24/7 and know more about them than we are given credit. No, we didn't go to medical school, we received on the job training and gained our knowledge from researching during all those sleepless nights. Your situation is even more difficult because of the lack of exposure and knowledge of Angelman's with healthcare professionals.
