112 Strong: Key Club Inducts 2013 Officers

New officers will lead Avon Lake High School Key Club.

The 2013 Avon Lake High School Key Club officers were inducted March 21 at an Avon Lake Kiwanis Club meeting.

New officers are Emily Peterson, president; Alyssa Wagner, vice president;  Garrett Shreve, Class Officer; Mallory Masarik, Hoops for Hunger Chairperson;  Michaela Clarahan, Editor; Michelle Deisenroth, Secretary and
 Stephen Harrington, Treasurer.

The induction was held at the Avon Lake Public Library.

Outgoing president Tyler Jasensky gave a moving speech about how the club and advisers gave him the confidence to manage a stuttering problem to lead the club, which counts 112 members. He thanked fellow Key Clubbers and advisers Gjergj Haxhiu and Kyle Maurer.

The Club is taking on several large projects to close out the year including the  Wounded Warrior (April 3 BW3 fundraiser and May 25 race) and the Avon-Avon Lake Relay for Life (June 8).
