 Relaxation Meditation Programs

Adults and teens are welcome to melt their stress away by learning relaxation and meditation techniques. Come to one or both of the upcoming Relaxation Meditation programs on Saturdays, Sept. 22 and 29 at 2 p.m. at the Avon Branch Library. Beginner's yoga poses may be incorporated during these one hour programs. Preregistration is required by calling the Avon Branch Library at 440-934-4743.

Now What Was I Saying? Understanding And Enhancing Memory Program

September is World Alzheimer’s Month. Come to the interactive workshop, Now What Was I Saying? Understanding and Enhancing Memory, presented by the Alzheimer’s Association, Monday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. at the Avon Branch Library. Learn the basics of how the brain works, the primary principles of memory, some techniques to improve memory, and things you can do for improving overall brain health. Sign Up For Fall Session Of Children’s Story Programs

Sign up for the Fall sessions of Babies and Books, Music Makers, and Preschool Story Time for children at the Avon Branch Library. The programs begin the week of Sept. 24.  Help your child begin an appreciation for books and reading. The free story programs feature pre-reading skills for parents and children including finger plays, music, rhythm and special activities.  For program details and to preregister, call the Avon Branch Library at 440-934-4743.

Adults Invited To Afternoon Book Discussion

Adults are invited to join the Afternoon Book Discussion Group when it meets, Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 2:30 p.m. at the Avon Branch Library.  The group will discuss, Beaded Hope by Cathy Liggett. Pass In Review Author Visit

Clyde Cocke, Avon Lake resident and 1977 West Point graduate will be sharing his first work of nonfiction, Pass in Review, a behind-the-scenes look at the United States Military Academy, during a free program, Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. at the Avon Branch Library. He will show photos, talk about West Point and the Long Gray Line and share his personal experiences with book publishing. After the program, the author will have copies of Pass in Review available for purchase and signing. Preregistration is required by calling the Avon Branch Library at 440-934-4743.
