Minotti’s Picks Avon For Its 6th Liquor Store Location
New wine and liquor store will also sell craft beers.
Minotti’s Wine & Spirits will be opening its first store in Lorain County in September.
Store owner Joe Minotti said Minotti’s will open in Avon in the new MarketPlace at Avon on Detroit near Mitchell’s Ice Cream and Third Federal Bank. The store is expected to open mid-September.
“We originally planned to open on Sept. 1, but we’ve moved that back to the middle of the month,” Minotti said.

He said the new location will have a similar look to the other stores, currently located in Lakewood, Rocky River, Fairview, Westlake, Bay Village and Parma.
“This location will have a wine tasting bar,” Minotti said.

The new store will carry a line of premium liquors and wines as well as craft beers. They also sell gift baskets.
The company was founded in 1959 by John L. Minotti, who ran more than 18 stores in the early 1980s with his brother.
His son, Joe, and son-in-law now run the business.
