Spring into Avon Offers Family Fun

Avon Isle Park is part of the event this year

Spring has sprung, and Easter is around the corner.

Which means it's time for a great Avon event, , which will be held Saturday and Sunday in the French Creek District.

The blooming daffodils and blossoming trees will make a pretty scene as visitors check out all the area has to offer.

Spring into Avon is a joint effort of the French Creek Development Association and French Creek Merchants.

One of the most popular events will be Saturday's . Seatings are at 8 and 10 a.m., with an Easter egg hunt between seatings at 9:30 a.m.

This year's breakfast will be at the newly refurbished hall at .

"It looks so pretty in here," said Fran Burik of French Creek Development Association, pointing out the decorations provided by and .

will be showing a video and putting out a tumbling mat.  will be doing crafts. mascot Cheddar will be on hand. Marcie Barrett of State Farm has donated coloring books and crayon to be given to the children. Tom's Country Place is doing the cooking, and student volunteers from , and are serving.

There will also be a coloring contest, with providing prizes.

For the adults, there will be bargains to be had as the district restaurants and stores will participate in the Bunny Shop Hop. Each participating business will have sales, specials, demonstrations, activities, and an Easter Basket prize drawing.
