In a year of wacky weather, incessant spring rains led to another citywide disappointment. The ground is too wet to properly cultivate for a summer growing season. It fits perfectly into the Cleveland mantra: “There’s always next year." 

An early morning fire May 29 on Avon Belden Road caused extensive damage to a two-story detached garage. A small dog was rescued and was treated for heat-related injuries. No other injuries were reported.
