The holidays are fast approaching and the New Year is just around the bend and I realize everyone is busy with the hustle and bustle so I will keep my article short and to point today.
I have seen some interesting articles lately about the continuing recovery of the housing market and what it means to the economic outlook for 2014. One statement I found interesting is that it is expected that for the first year since 2000 there will be more home purchase loans written than refinances of existing mortgage loans.
Another interesting article discusses that the 55+ House Market Confidence is Breaking Records. This news comes from the National Association of Home Builders and indicates that there enough confidence and need for Home Builders to develop 55+ communities. There is a steady improvement in the 55+ housing sector, this improvement directly related to the fact that these consumers are more likely to be able to sell their current homes, which allows them the freedom to buy a new home that fits their specific needs at this stage in their lives.
