Initials like OMG, IMO and LOL are used daily in texting. Recently, at a networking event, I mentioned being a Past President of LoCAR. Two participants asked what is that? My answer.......an organization with over 400 local Realtor members that monitors, educates, governs and upholds the Code of Ethics in the real estate industry. My statement brought many questions and comments regarding their previous real estate transactions. If you, the public, have questions regarding the way your Realtor represented you, Lorain County Association of REALTORS (LoCAR) is the first point of contact. REALTORS have a strong Code of Ethics (Industry Standards and Practices) that are critical to their representing sellers and buyers during a real estate transaction.
