Our nation's turmoil may have a surprising cause....
Why are Americans becoming so polarized from one another?
It has become increasingly clear to me that the growing division in our country can no longer be defined as rich vs poor or Democrat vs Republican. The true division is good versus evil.
Once we stopped proudly being 'one nation under God', our core value systems have consistently declined.
Where the second stanza of 'America the Beautiful' was once proudly sung, 'confirm thyself in self control, thy liberty in law' we now have increasingly unbridled lack of self control, and the whimsical enforcement of law to further political positions.
The remedy is no longer an election or a political appointment, but an agonizing look at our personal behavior and heartfelt repentance.
God will not be the author of our punishment -- rather we are willingly opening the gates of hell into our lives.
But there is still time... 'I lay before you life and death -- choose life!'
