Thursday, Oct. 4: Bonfire/Pizza Bake-Off
Head out to the annual Avon Lake bonfire and rally at the high school…but not on an empty stomach. The Avon-Avon Lake Rotary Great Pizza Bake-Off if from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. in the Avon Lake Commons. Then head outside for a pep rally and bonfire. Pizza Bake-Off tickets are $10 per adult and $5 per child 12 and under. Get your tickets at the door.;

Friday, Oct. 5: Football and Royalty, Mega-reunion
What’s homecoming without football? The Shoremen take on the Westlake Demons at Avon Lake High School's Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. The homecoming court will be announced at 6:30 p.m.

If you’re an ALHS graduate, don’t miss out on the mega-reunion being held at Sweetbriar’s clubhouse from 6:30 p.m. – midnight. If you’re going, send an RSVP on the mega-reunion’s Facebook page. Attendees have confirmed from Kosovo, Costa Rica, and many North American cities. The recently updated page, organized by Tony Tomanek, said a tour of the high school, renovated in the mid-2000s, is being planned for Saturday.
Saturday, Oct. 6: Parade and Festival
Don’t miss the annual Homecoming Parade, starting at 10:30 a.m. at led by the 2012 Grand Marshals are Diane and Jim Bayley. The 2012 Fall Festival follows immediately at 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Avon Lake High School Commons and gym. Enjoy food, vendors, entertainment, games and crafts.
Sunday, Oct. 7: Kiwanis Pancake ‘N Sausage breakfast, Festival
Meet your family and friend at the annual Avon Lake Kiwanis all-you-can-eat Pancake ‘N Sausage Breakfast. This annual Homecoming tradition runs from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at ALHS Commons. Tickets are $5 for adult presale, $6 at the door, $2 for children 11 and under and free for children 4 and under.
The Fall Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at ALHS.
