Tickets Available for Avon Lake's Society Event of the Year

Dining, dancing and a chance to win a $4,000 diamond necklace

Ladies, put on that cocktail dress and grab your gentlemen’s arm and don’t miss Avon Lake’s social event of the season Jan. 28 when the 23rd Annual CRS Charity Ball get swinging.

One of the city’s most anticipated events, the evening is a blend of sophistication, fun and good food.

The ball, presented this year by , again takes place at in Westlake. As always, the evening features a top-notch dinner, open bar and a great band.

The event also guarantees attendees a large assortment of auction. The full list will be available on the service’s website on Jan. 20.

This year does hold a few items of interest.

“New this year is the Wine Pull sponsored by Heidelburg Distributing Company and Constellation Wines,” event spokesperson Pam Ohradansky said. “There will be 84 bottles of wine with retail prices between $11 and $61.  For $10 you will pull a numbered cork and you will receive the bottle of wine with the corresponding number.”

One hundred percent of the of the evening’s proceeds go the furthering mission of assisting people in Avon and Avon Lake.

The Charity Ball features cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a sit down dinner and dessert.  After dinner you can enjoy dancing to the live music from the band “Midtown.” 

The evening will also feature live and silent auctions, cash sideboards, an iPad sideboard and the Wine Pull. 

will again donate a Hearts On Fire diamond pendant valued at $3,990. It is currently on display at Peter & Company Jewelers in Avon Lake. Jewelry Raffle tickets are $20 each or 3 for $50.

Tickets to the ball are $110 per person ($45 tax deductible) or $1,000 for a table of 10.

Last year the Charity Ball was attended by 277 people and raised almost $50,000 for CRS.  My goal this year is to surpass both last year’s attendance number and the total funds raised.
