Wild Weather on the Way? Wind Advisory Here, Snow on the Way

Last year's winter is one that doesn't need repeating

Happy New Year Avon Lake! Or maybe not so much. If you’re just getting up, we’ll give it to you fast: Go back to bed.

In addition to the National Weather Service's Hazard Weather Outlook wind advisory issued until 9 p.m. tonight, the AOL weather forecast for Avon Lake is calling for up to 5 inches of snow by Monday evening.

My midday Jan. 1, the temperature reached 44 degrees and can get as high as 50 with rain likely. Expect the rain to change to snow tonight as temperatures plunge to the upper 20s.

Monday, Jan. 2, will probably mark the first significant snowfall in the city this season. AOL weather is predicting a high of 29, winds reaching 35 mph (with gusts up to 50mph) and 3-5 inches of snow.
