Catherine A. Stanziano (nee Krajeski), St. Joseph Church member

Former treasurer of Lorain City Schools

Catherine A. Stanziano (nee Krajeski) 69 of Avon Lake, formerly of Lorain, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 25, 2012.

Catherine was born in Lorain on Dec. 20, 1942 where she remained a lifelong resident until 2003 when she moved to Avon Lake. She was employed for 31 years as an accountant in the treasurer's office with Lorain City Schools and with Clearview treasurer's Office for 10 years.

She was an active member of in Avon Lake, a board member for LORMET Credit Union, and participated on the Avon Ladies Golf League. She enjoyed golfing and attending her grandsons' sporting events.

Catherine is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ray; her children, Kim Brown (Jim) of Largo, FL, Mark of Palm Coast, FL, and Mary Kay D'Orazio (Dan) of Avon Lake; six grandsons, Daevid, Rob, R.J., Zachary, Jordan, and Lucas; brothers, Robert Krajeski of Elyria and Jerry Yunker of CA; and many loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Catherine (nee Ball) Krajeski; sister, Mary Jean (late Frances) Grimes.

Friends may call at the , 163 Avon Belden Road, Avon Lake from 2 p.m. -4 p.m. and 6 p.m. -8 p.m. on Monday, May 28.
