Richard was the beloved father of Amanda, loving friend of Vickie Sayles and dear son of Mel and Elaine Maurer.
He was the fond brother of Jeff Maurer (Amanda), Michelle Maurer and Mike Maurer (Becca); uncle of Kaitlin, Eric, Brenna, Alex, Allyson, Nick, Hayley, Brittany and Taylor. And great-uncle of Monica and Jade.
Family and friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10 at Jenkins Funeral Chapel, 2914 Dover Center Road, Westlake.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 11 a.m. at , 2345 Bassett Road, Westlake. and 6 p.m. -8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 6155 Rockside Rd.
