Robert Dean St. Aubyn, 78, of Avon, died Feb. 25 at Main Street Care Center, Avon Lake, surrounded by his family.

St. Aubyn was born Jan. 25, 1934, in Russel, Kansas. He was the son of the late Robert M. and Tressa (Heffel) St. Aubyn.

He served in the United States Coast Guard, finishing his career as an officer. He later worked for Cleveland Cliffs Iron Company and the Cleveland Maritime Administration.

He was a past president of the Bay Men's Club and was active in the community at .

St. Aubyn is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sandra (Bently) St. Aubyn; children Robert David St. Aubyn (Lisa) of North Ridgeville, Charles Raymond St. Aubyn (Eileen Woodrick) of Cleveland and Susan Leonne Zeyer (Donovan) of Cleveland; three grandchildren, Philip, Taylor and Isabella; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by brother Glenn St. Aubyn and sister Marguerite Anderson.
