48-Year-Old Charged in Sexual Assault of Girl, 15

Police have charged a 48-year-old Avon Lake man with the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl.

According torecords, David J. Graham, of 370 Dellwood, was charged with rape, a first-degree felony, on March 28. On April 5, he was charged with gross sexual imposition, a fourth-degree felony and importuning, a fifth-degree felony.

Sgt. Vince Molnar said the teen was brought to the police station by her grandmother.

“From there we scheduled an appointment at the (Nord Center's)  Children’s Advocacy Center,” Molnar said. The girl talked with a nurse at the center’s sexual assault care unit at the center. 

According to Molnar, Graham was familiar to the family. Molnar said the police might file additional complaints.

“There are additional charges that are going to be considering from events on March 27 and 28,” Molnar said. “The hope is that those will not be the only charges.”

Graham’s bond was set by the Avon Lake Municipal Court at $50,000. The cases have been bound over to the Lorain County Court of Common Pleas Grand Jury.
