Avon Lake Blotters: Kids Try to Hit Geese With Hockey Stick

Geese aren’t hockey pucks

A group of children in at a Bridgeside drainage basin were trying to hit geese with a hockey stick. Police spoke with two brothers, ages 10 and 12. The children’s guardian at Treeside Lane was notified about the incident.

Naked swimmer transported to hospital

Police received a call about a juvenile male swimming naked in the creek near apartments. The caller said the juvenile threw an object through the window of an apartment. Police transported the juvenile to St. John West Shore Hospital and tried to contact his parents.

Police received a report of a man dumping his motorcycle on Jaycox Road March 16. The man, believed to be intoxicated, got back on his motorcycle heading southbound on Jaycox. He was not located.

That’s how accidents happen

Juveniles at were reportedly throwing things at cars on Lake Road. Police talked to a group of eight kids playing basketball in the area and were told the person throwing objects had left already.

Bad aim

A Fairfield Avenue man complained an arrow was lodged into the side of his home. The small arrow was believed to have come from a Berkshire Road address. Police left several door hangars for the Berkshire resident about the incident.

Dangerous maneuvers

Police received multiple reports of a white male, believed to be a teen, walking in the middle of the roadway on Walker Road near the American Legion Hall March 21. Police made a report for juvenile court.
