Avon Police Riding School Buses, Watching for Violators

Find out when it's safe to pass a bus.

Avon Local school buses are carrying more than just students these days. 

Police officers in Avon are riding in some of Avon Local School District buses going on the different routes to make sure vehicles don't pass school buses. 

Avon police told our partner at NewsNet5.com that drivers must stop at least 10 feet from a school bus when it’s loading or unloading kids, and you can only move your vehicle to continue driving after the bus begins to move again.
