officers Bryan Rado and Ray Dietsche were both promoted to sergeant at a 7 p.m. ceremony June 11 at City Hall. performed the swearing in ceremony.
“I look forward to these two officers beginning their duties as sergeants within our department,” Police Chief Richard Bosley said. “They are both experienced police officers whom I am sure will serve the City well in the new roles. I think from the size of the crowd gathered to witness their swearing in it speaks to their reputation and abilities as police officers far more than I can say.”
In addition to immediate family and friends in attendance, approximately 25 people from various police departments, federal agencies and court officials were present.

Dietsche had his sergeant's pin put on by his wife, Elyria Police Det. Lisa Dietsche. Rado's daughter, Bailey Rado, had the honor of placing the pin on her father.
