Breaking and Entering: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Avon Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Jewelry was stolen when a home in the 33400 block of Lyons Gate Run was broken into sometime during the day on Jan. 23. The front door was pried open.

A neighbor on the same block reported that someone broke into his home through back door around 11 a.m. the same day. Nothing was reported missing.

Attempted Break-Ins

A group of kids were spotted by a resident trying to kick in doors at homes in the 37800 block of Birch Lane and the 1400 block of Mulberry around 7:14 p.m. on Jan. 23. 

Theft

Someone stole a 10-foot-long steel basement beam and about $2,500 in building materials from a Ryan Homes house being built in the 2400 block of Berkshire Avenue. The company told Avon Police they believe the beam was stolen sometime over the week after Christmas.
