Man OD’s on Heroin, Friends Drop Him off at Clinic: Blotters

The following information was pulled from the Avon Police log. Information does not indicate an arrest or conviction.

On May 10, a man in his mid-20s was dropped off at the Cleveland Clinic unconscious. His friends said he overdosed on heroin and Xanax but did not stay.

Avon police put out a request to find the friends and obtain additional information. A friend finally ID’d the man, who was treated at the Clinic. His  family in Avon Lake was notified.

An update on the man’s condition was not available at deadline.

A man entering Walmart in Avon called police claiming he was harassed. The incident happened on May 11 after a man signaled to Girl Scouts who had set up a booth that he wasn’t interested in buying cookies.

The man said a woman standing with the Scouts whispered in the Scout’s ears the man was “gay.”

The man the approached the woman at the booth asking for her phone numbers claiming he was going to sue her.

Avon police spoke to both the girl and the woman. Both denied saying anything of the sort.
