Police Blotter: Doggie Dilemmas

Avon police handle canine affairs

Someone called Avon police on May 12 over a golden retriever in the front yard of a Mapleview Lane home with no shade or water.

Police checked and saw the dog did have water, but no shade. The owner took the dog inside and said she’d move the dog’s tether so that it would get some shade from the porch.

A dog was found on a leash but with no shelter around 5:34 p.m. May 12 in the 2500 block of Church Street. Police took the dog and brought him to the vet. No word if the dog's family was located.
