Two Men Charged After Drug Bust on Inwood

Two 20-year-old men arrested after a search by Westlake police yield array of suspected drugs.

Two Avon Lake men arrested earlier this month in a drug bust on Inwood Drive will have a preliminary hearing inApril 12.

Kyle Kadow, 20, and Joseph Basso, 20, were arrested on April 1 after Westlake Police initiated a search of an Inwood Drive residence. officers assisted with the search and arrest that included confiscation of suspected heroin.

Westlake Capt. Guy Turner said a search was conducted at 129 Inwood Drive, resulting in the arrest of Basso and Kadow, both of Inwood Drive.

“There was evidence we would recover drugs there,” Turner said, adding he could not provide additional details that led to the search and arrest. The men were arrested without incident.

Turner said numerous items were confiscated.

“We recovered suspected heroin, suspected marijuana, pills, money and cell phones,” Turner said. “We haven’t identified the pills yet.”

The men were taken to Westlake City Jail before being turned over to Avon Lake police April 4, when they were arraigned in Avon Lake Municipal Court.

Basso, 20, has been charged with permitting drug abuse, a fifth degree felony and released on a $7,500 bond.

Kadow, 20, has been charged with trafficking/heroin, a fourth degree misdemeanor and was released on a $10,000 bond.
