Woman Claims to be Tutor, Kids Provide Info

This week in the Avon Police blotters. 

A Bellcrest Court woman called Avon Police after her children notified her that a woman came to the door claiming to be a tutor. The alleged tutor was asking if the parents were home and what the parents’ names were, all while writing the information down. The children could not provide a description of the woman.

On July 25, a man found a large television in his front yard. He told police he did not know where it came from or if it was stolen. Avon Police determined it was an old television that was dumped in his yard. The appliance was taken to the city dumpster.
