Kniepper Awarded Resolution of Gratitude from Avon Lake

Recently retired chief utilities executive served Avon Lake's water department for 42 years.

Avon Lake City Council presents recently retired (ALMUD) Chief Utilities Executive John Kniepper with a Resolution of Gratitude and Appreciation at the March 14 City Council meeting.

Kniepper recently retired after 42 years of service at ALMUD, helping lead the department in becoming one of Cleveland’s largest water authorities.He was replaced by Todd Danielson to lead the facility responsible providing drinking water to Avon Lake and 180,000 people in a 600-square-mile, five-county area and treating local wastewater.

 The resolution, presented in front of Kniepper’s family, friends and colleagues included other accomplishments, including his position on the Board of Trustees, leadership posts in the American Water Works Association and the Water Environment Foundation, both of which promote safe drinking water.
