State Senator dropped by Avon Lake council earlier this week to personally read a proclamation complimenting Council President Martin O’Donnell on his recent receipt of Cleveland State’s “Distinguished Alumni Award.”

O’Donnell was chosen by Cleveland State University Leadership Academy  as the David C. Sweet Award winner for being the Outstanding Elected Official for 2013. He was honored at a dinner May 23.

She said the dog park in particular is “near and dear to my heart; I have two dogs and I have used it.”

Manning, who represents Avon and Avon Lake, resides in North Ridgeville, which does not have a dog park.

The proclamation was on behalf of all 33 Ohio senators and signed by Manning and Ohio Senate President Keith Faber.
