Nagel Road in Avon will be closed Thursday to Monday between Lear Industrial Parkway and the intersection of Chester Road and Just Imagine Drive for the ETL tie-in. You can drive through Lear Industrial Park from Nagel to Chester and take Chester back to Nagel or use Jaycox Road as an alternate north/south route. Local traffic will be maintained.

The construction is to allow for the Eastern Transmission Line (ETL) tie in. Avon Lake is in the process of finalizing construction plans to relocate the 36-inch ETL from Chester Road south the Avon Road that parallels the new I-90 Interchange. Avon is participating in the project.

Nagel Road is not the same as Naigle Road in Bay Village, which recently opened up after a three-week delay.

ALMU Eastern Transmission Lines 1 & 2 provide water for the cities of Avon and North Ridgeville, the Rural Lorain County Water Authority and the County and City of Medina.
