Who Did Avon Like in the Presidential Primary?

Results from Tuesday's voting

While Mitt Romney scored a narrow victory in Ohio's Republican presidential primary, the gap was much wider in Avon.

Romney won Avon by a nearly 2-to-1 margin over Rick Santorum. The dropoff was sharp after those top two, with about 900 votes separating Santorum from third-place finisher Newt Gingrich. Ron Paul was fourth with 473 votes. Neither Rick Perry nor Jon Huntsman got more than 35 votes.

Santorum was hurt in in parts of Lorain County. Still, the gap between he and Romney was a bit narrower countywide.
