Avon Lineman Walter Rauterkus Commits to West Virginia University
Eagles offensive lineman accepts scholarship to play football from WVU
Avon High School's Walter Rauterkus committed to West Virginia University last week, West Virginia MetroNews reports.
Rauterkus, a class of 2014 offensive lineman for the Eagles, was offered the scholarship in May, which placed him on the map for college recruiters.
The athlete was recognized in January by the Avon VFW Post 7035 with the Eagle Leadership Summit Award, for outstanding achievement in their sport and exceptional character on and off the field of play.
