Crushers Lose in 10 Innings

Rockford ends four-game losing streak

Luis Parache hit a triple in the bottom of the 10th inning to score Cameron Satterwhite and lift the Rockford RiverHawks to a 3-2 win over the Lake Erie Crushers Friday night in Rockford, Ill.

According to a report from the Crushers, it was the first extra-inning game for the team this season. 

The Crushers took a 2-1 lead in the third before Rockford tied the game in the sixth. Lake Erie had the bases loaded with two outs in the top of the eighth, but RiverHawks pitcher Tyler Hyde struck out Nick Mahin to end the Crushers' opportunity.

 Ruben Flores (2-1) took the loss for the Crushers. Joel Collins had two hits and scored a run.

The Crushers (8-18) have lost eight of their last nine games. Rockford improved to 11-15.

The two teams play at 7:05 p.m. in Rockford. Josh Roberts (2-3, 5.11 earned run average) will start for the Crushers.
