Jamie Skelton 2011 Summer Basketball Camp

Former Ohio State basketball star Jamie Skelton in partnership with the City of Avon Lake Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting registration for his second annual basketball camp. 

This camp is for boys and girls entering grades K – 8 fall of 2011. Jamie and staff will teach the same basketball fundamentals that earned him the 1994 OSU Big Ten Player of the Year, 1994 Team Captain and voted one of the top 50 players to play at Ohio State.

The camp focuses on footwork, ball handling, shot technique, passing, conditioning and offense and defense positioning. Campers are divided into groups according to grade and skill level.  Camp for grades 5 – 8 will be held 9 a.m. – noon at Learwood Middle School July 5 – 8 and 9 a.m. – noon at Troy Intermediate School July 11– 14.

Camp for grades K – 4 will be held 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Troy Intermediate School July 5-8 and July 11-14. The fee is $85 resident/ $95 Non-resident (one session) and $150 resident/ $170 (both sessions).
