Jason Taylor Leads Crushers to Win

Game took more than four hours

After a game lasting more than four hours, the emerged victorious, 11-9, over the River City Rascals in O'Fallon, Mo.

The win was the third straight for the Crushers, who improve to 21-24.

According to a report from the team, there were 10 pitching changes in the contest.

The Crushers fell behind, 5-3, after the Rascals scored four runs in the bottom of the second. But then the Crushers scored three runs in the third and three runs in the fourth to go on top.

Jason Taylor had two hits, a run scored and three RBI to lead the Crushers. Kellen Kulbacki had a double, a triple and an RBI. Patrick Norris finished with three hits, including a triple, and two RBI. Nick Mahin finished with three hits and two runs scored.

Randy Sturgill (3-0, 4.02 earned run average) pitched 1 2/3 innings of relief to get the win.

The Crushers play the Rascals (31-14) at 8:05 p.m. Saturday. Andrew Weeks (3-2, 4.47) is slated to start for the Crushers.
