Crushers' late rally lifts them past Windy City Thunderbolts

Jereme Milons had two hits and four RBI as the rallied to defeat the Windy City Thunderbolts, 9-5, Friday night at .

The Crushers improved to 43-38 as they fight to keep their lead over the Traverse City Beach Bums for the second and final playoff spot in the Frontier League's Eastern Division.

The Crushers trailed, 2-1, in the bottom of the seventh before scoring four runs in the inning. Kellen Kulbacki started the scoring with a solo home run and Milons capped it with an RBI single.

In the bottom of the eighth, the first three batters for the Crushers walked to load the bases, then Chris Luick was walked to start the Crushers' scoring. Milons then smacked a three-run double.

Chris Allen (2-2, 1.69 earned run average) pitched an inning of relief to get the win.

Evan Sharpley had two hits and an RBI. Andrew Davis went 0-for-4, ending his 12-game hitting streak.

The Crushers and Thunderbolts play at 7:05 p.m. Saturday. Eric Gonzalez-Diaz (2-0, 1.50) starts for the Crushers.
