Morgan Srail Takes First In Diving, Advances To State

This mark's Srail's fourth trip to the state meet.

For the fourth straight year Avon Lake’s Morgan Srail has advanced to the state championships, after placing first Jan. 17 in the Division I district meet at Cleveland State's Busbey Natatorium. 

Srail, a senior at Avon Lake High School, scored 478.95, beating Cuyahoga Falls’ Haleigh Bartlett (471.20). Sivan Mills of Solon placed third with 462.20 in the 11-dive set. 

Srail (in Patch's  Jan. 17 edition), will compete next at the state competition in Canton. At the state level, she placed 17th as a junior, 10th as a sophomore and 14th in her first state competition as a freshman.
