Shoremen Brave It Out

Varsity Boys Basketball, Jan. 27 at Avon Lake

It was another nailbiter for the varsity boys in Friday night’s match up against the Berea Braves. The Jan. 27 game was another seesaw battle that came down to the final possession.

The night belonged to senior Eric Stuczynski who paced the Shoremen with 24 points. However, none were bigger than the final two at the buzzer.

With 6.8 seconds left, Berea was up 51-50 and had the opportunity to ice the game at the foul line. They missed the front end of a one and one. Junior Jimmy Hessel rebounded the ball and got it to Senior Logan Dilik at half court. Dilik launched a half court pass to an all-alone Stuczynski who laid it in at the buzzer. The entire Avon Lake student section poured onto the floor in celebration.
