Lacrosse is coming to Avon.
The much anticipated Avon Youth Lacrosse Association is gearing up for its 2014 Inaugural season, and is proud to introduce the country’s fastest growing team sport to the Avon Eagle portfolio. Parents are invited to an informational meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at the Avon Middle School.
During this orientation, you will meet the staff and coaches, hear an overview of the game of Lacrosse and the equipment needed to play, and learn about the teams that make up the newly formed West Shore Lacrosse Conference.
For Spring 2014, there will be boys’ teams in three divisions: Bantam (3rd & 4th Grade), Youth (5th and 6th grade) and Middle School (7th and 8th grade). Beginners are welcome. We are working to establish a girls’ Lacrosse program at the Middle School level. Registration will begin after the meeting. For more information or to be involved, please visit www.avonlacrosse.org.
