Avon Lake's City Pool to Open on Saturday

The will open this Memorial Day weekend. 

Avon Lake residents can do some laps, spring off the high board, twist and turn down the big blue slide, or just take a cool and refreshing dip between the hours of 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 26; Sunday, May 27; and Monday, May 28. 

Weather permitting, the pool, located in , will remain open during the week from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. fro May 29 – June 1. 

Beginning Saturday, June 2, the pool will begin its regular summer hours – Monday thru Friday, 1 p.m. – 8 p.m., and weekends from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.

To allow citizens to better enjoy the benefits of Pool Passes – which include saving some serious cash over the course of the summer, and to simply ‘scan and swim’ when entering the pool - The Recreation Department is also extending Pool Pass sales times to include Thursday (May 24) from 8 a.m.  – 8 p.m.; Friday (May 25) from 8 a.m.  – 4:30 p.m. and Saturday (May 26) from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. 

Pool pass sales will then close until Tuesday (May 29).  Citizens who wish to enter the pool without a pass will need to bring along some form of ID and address confirmation. 

Gate admission prices for citizens are as follows:

Age 2 and under          Free

Children 3 - 17            $2

Adults 18 – 59             $3

Adults 60+                  Free

Non-residents may enter, but only as a guest of an Avon Lake resident (2 guests/resident). 

Non-resident admission is:

            Children 17 and under       $4

            Adults 18 – 59                  $5

            Seniors 60+                     $2

Visitors my bring their own food into the pool grounds this year.  The pool’s concessions offering are improved this year.

The SprayGround will also be open for free.
